Flashback! This season’s hottest trends are going back in time. Inspiration and influence have been taken from the 20’s, 50’s and 80’s (and still of hint of influence from the 60’s & 70’s).
Fashion of the 1920’s was highly influenced by art and a sense of freedom. This vintage style can be replicated today with feathers, fringe & tassels, faux fur and sequins. Fringe & tassel treatment is showing up on tops, dresses, scarves and handbags! The 20’s definitely had an influence on the shift and draping styles that are popular for tops and dresses.
Rewind to the 50’s for a feminine and lady-like style with a twist. Fashion from the 1950’s was influenced by glamorous movie stars of the decade. Cardigans were a staple back then and they are back once again! Dresses, cardigans, ruffles, pearls and flats are essential for a 50’s inspired style.
The 80s look continues ala Flashdance and Fame. All of the styles you once knew and loved are back- leggings, oversized tops, off the shoulder tops and boots.
