We all can make small changes to our daily habits, and really become the change we want to see in our world. It's more than just 'going green', it's about embracing the ways we can make the difference! Here's some of the things we're trying to bring out the best in mother Earth and ourselves:
1. Compose waste if you have a garden. You will save on fertilizer costs and your plants will thank-you.And if you don't have a garden get started! We found this adorable how- to blog that gave us the steps we need to get started-we all have a green thumb after all!
2. Buy a reusable water bottle that you can carry with you throughout the day, say no to wasteful plastic bottles. Try Sigg brand, cute and green! And we bet by the end of the month, the money you would have spent on all the plastic bottles will be enough to treat yourself to fun beach accessories or a night out with friends. Talk about win-win!
3. Quit smoking. Quit smoking. QUIT SMOKING!! Forget how much money you'll save (which will be tons!). And don't just do it because second-hand smoke is a major indoor air pollutant to those around you. We're talking the importance of your health here, and it is not worth wasting. 4. Bike-it's great exercise and fun! Use public transit-and forget the stress of traffic. Carpool to work-and make some new friends!
