This made me think back to when I was in middle school and dress codes insisted, "No bare midriff." Believe me this is not the same silhouette from your awkward teen years!!!! If I want to feel sexy I'll take it in an 80's body conscious way with bra tops or bandeaus paired with curve hugging skirts. Or for a more subdued sexy try Free People's mesh inset dress (coming in May to stores) showing off just the right amount but still leaving something to the imagination. For coffee with the girls or a more conservative vibe I'll pair a crop top with high-waisted shorts for a peek-a-boo effect, or use as a layering piece over a dress. I'm obsessed with anything high-waisted right now because it's the best partner in crime for a high-lo hem, crop top, or sweetheart bustier!! Either way baring a little sliver of skin forces a variety of fresh and forward silhouettes.. so grin and bare it... even if it means an extra set of crunches!!!
