Caring for the Earth is something that we at South Moon Under consider very important and make it a part of our everyday practice! We are constantly growing and as we grow we are very mindful of the impact we are making on the Earth! We have recently signed a contract to install solar panels in our Distribution Center and hope to see all of our store operate on solar power in the next few years! All of our stores have been constructed using recycled and eco-friendly materials! From our bags to the tiles we have tried our best to keep our foot print small...and we hope to get even better at it as we grow!
On that note with the treatment of the environment being a growing global concern, it is important for us to carry brands that use Eco-friendly practices. Nissa Jewelry is a perfect example of a brand doing just that.
Nissa Jewelry was created by Nissa Wegienek in 2008. The jewelry is an eclectic and unique collection that emanates uptown sophistication with a downtown edge. The pieces are hand-made in New York City using primarily recycled materials. That means not only is this company ECO friendly but they are also Socially responsible!-Double LOVE!
Nissa has made quite a statement, being featured in magazines such as Vogue, Elle, US Weekly, InStyle, Seventeen, People Style Watch and Women's Wear Daily! Nissa was even worn in one of the recent Gossip Girl episodes! As well as on several celebrities, such as Zooey Deschanel, Kim Kardashian, Stacy London, and Karen Rodriguez and Ashton Jones from American Idol!
