I remember the first time I learned that it was inappropriate to wear white after Labor Day. It was from one of my favorite chick-flicks Never Been Kissed. Josie Geller aka Drew Barrymore spilled chocolate milk all over her white pants at lunch muttering, "That'll teach me to wear white after Labor Day", to which her frenemy Gibby replies, "I don't think you're supposed to wear white after 1983." Lesson Learned. Number 1: I had no intentions to be made fun of for being fashionably challenged and Number 2: its not easy to recover an ensemble that has been devoured by chocolate milk.
Now that Memorial Day is over, the White trend has never been hotter (like my play on words there? haha)!
